Wet Weather
NEVER ASSUME SOCCER IS OFF is rule no 1.
If you don’t turn up and
games are on you are letting your team down. It might be raining at one end of the Highlands and clear at the other.
To find out if local grounds are
closed because of rain, you can ring Council’s Wet Weather number - 0407 905 642. Decisions to
close grounds by Council are usually made on Friday afternoon, after that it becomes a club matter to
make a decision.
On Saturday morning announcements will be made on Radio 2ST (102.9 on the FM Band) from
7.30am if there are any cancellations.
Finally, everyone should have their Coach/Managers phone number and if in doubt contact them.
Remember that Soccer is a Winter sport and playing in wet conditions is part of the experience! |
