26August Rescheduled - AGM

BUSC  AGM - Annual General Meeting - to be held again on 11 November 2014, Time: 7 PM

Where: Club Bowral (Bowral Bowling Club)

Dear all,

Below are the Minutes of the Bowral United Soccer Club AGM, held on Tuesday 21 October.

When you read them, you will notice that the attendance was limited. That means that if you are keen, nominations for all Committee positions can still be made. I would urge everyone to think about what it is you can do to assist your Club and to please resist the urge to assume the current Committee

01October U9/10/11 Skill Acquisition Program (SAP) Trials, Nowra and Bundanoon

SAP is nationally driven program with involvement of many associations in New South Wales. The aim is to produce a base of players with the skills necessary to progress to higher levels of training in later years. The national curriculum is the basis for the program and we strive to use the highest qualified coaches for this age level to deliver the program.

We are looking for talented players (Boys and Girls) born in years 2003 (Girls only*), 2004, 2005 and 2006 (U9-11) that are interested in playing with these teams in 2015. These teams are the recognised pathway for future elite development identification including the Football NSW Institute program which commences at U12.
The Southern Branch SAP program trials will be held on October 19 and 26 at South Nowra Soccer Fields (Shoalhaven, Eurobodalla and Far South Coast Associations) and October 19 and 23 (Highlands and Tablelands Associations)

30September SAP Programme Information

 Dear Parents,

In 2015, and subject to final Football NSW board approval, a Southern Branch SAP (Skills Aquisition Programme) programme will be based in the highlands region. SAP programme develops and conditions players of ages u9, u10 and u11 to compete at higher levels.

It is hoped that for 2015, match days will be shared between Nowra (Shoalhaven F.A.) and the Highlands F.A. This will hopefully further enhance the concept that this is truly a Southern Branch programme. More information on this will be provided at a later stage.

The Trial dates have now been confirmed and are as follows: download pdf document

Yours in Football

25September "Bowral Boys" do it again!

What a year!

Following their triumph in the Liberale Trophy in August, the team known affectionaltely as "Mittabowral' or 'Bowragong', have just taken out the Reserve Grade Championship for 2014.

Qualifying in third place in the league after a season made difficult by early kick off times, which precluded many Dads with sporting kids from playing, we looked to be having to take the long route of three wins in a row if we were going to claim the title.

28August How to Dominate Possession

When Manchester United were beaten 5-4 by Chelsea in the cup earlier this season, Sir Alex Ferguson didn’t have to be told where the game had been lost. Leading 3-2 in the dying seconds of normal time, it was United’s inability to keep hold of the ball that cost his side the match. “We gave the ball away for the third goal having been in complete control,” he said afterwards. “All we needed to do was see the game out with good possession.”
